The US Home Committee on Monetary Service has requested paperwork associated to fees filed towards FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried by the Securities and Trade Fee (SEC).
The lawmakers wrote that the timing of the SEC’s fees towards SBF raises “critical questions on its course of and cooperation” with the US Division of Justice (DoJ).
As a consequence of this, the lawmakers need the Fee to supply all information and communications of its workers between Nov. 2 to Feb. 9. within the enforcement division and workplace of the chairman referring to the SBF fees.
The Committee additional requested the monetary watchdog to supply comparable paperwork of its interactions with the DoJ through the mentioned interval.
The SEC has to provide these paperwork earlier than Feb. 24.
SBF was arrested on Dec. 12 within the Bahamas after US Legal professional Damian Williams filed legal fees towards him.
